Pacale Lebrasseur
Welcome to Pascale as one of our newest Board members. She is the Director of Finance and Business Support at the Accor, Global Reservation Centre. Pascale is a Family Member of a person with an intellectual and developmental disability from the Southeast region of the province (Moncton/Miramichi).
Pascale’s perspective is, “Inclusion signifies that every individual possesses a voice. It is essential to ensure that my daughter and her peers have equal opportunities to engage and contribute to society and their communities.”
Over the years, Pascale has volunteered at her daughter’s schools, at her horseback riding club, and with her baseball team. She was part of a small group of parents that built the first fully accessible baseball field in Atlantic Canada, located in Moncton.
Professionally, she has been part of the DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) steering committee for Accor’s North and Central America offices and chairs the DEI committee in their Moncton office. Last summer, she volunteered at the Summer Olympics in Paris, representing Accor.
She also loves to read, enjoys traveling, and discovering food and culture. Welcome Pascale!
Chantal Theriault
Chantal Theriault has joined our Board of Directors, representing the Southeast. She grew up in Bathurst and has called Moncton home for over 30 years. Chantal has an MBA and spent most of her career as a public servant. She has always volunteered in her community in some way. She served as a counsellor in the Francophone South District Education Council, as well as President of the School Advisory Committee at L’école Le Sommet. She served over 10 years on the board of the Frye Festival, including as its Chair.
When asked what inclusion means to her, Chantal says, “Regardless of their physical or intellectual abilities, everyone should have access to opportunities to achieve their potential.” Welcome Chantal!
Dale Donahee-brunelle
Dale Donahee-Brunelle has recently joined our Board of Directors as a Self-Advocate representing the Fundy region. Originally from Lawrence Station, NB he now lives in Uptown Saint John at the Wellington.
Dale says, “Community inclusion means that, despite all the challenges and barriers I face, I am still an equal in the community and am breaking down the barriers and ensuring that I have the same opportunities as everyone else.”
He attended community college and received a certificate in Human Services. He has returned to NBCC to take the fundamentals for Social Services Worker course.
You can learn even more about Dale here: https://www.inclusionnb.ca/empowered-to-achieve…/
Dale first became connected to us a few years ago. “I needed to make a change so I went back to school and connected with Inclusion NB who are supporting me on my path to independence. I put in a lot of work. I believe that if you want something to change you need to make that change yourself. I’m a self-advocate for change and to help other individuals strive to change. Advocate to help people help themselves to do it a different way.”
We are thrilled that Dale is bringing his time and talent to our movement in this new way as a member of our Board.
